Noé Ramirez woke up Monday morning to some news that caught him by surprise:
He was the newest member of the Cincinnati Reds.
The Reds sent closer Raisel Iglesias to the Los Angeles Angels as a part of their cost-cutting offseason in exchange for Ramirez and a player to be named later or cash. Ramirez, who spent the last 3 ½ seasons with the Angels, isn’t a replacement for Iglesias, but he adds some middle relief depth.
“I mean, at first, it was a shock,” Ramirez said.
