Nick Senzel wasn’t ready to admit it when the pandemic interrupted spring training, but he admitted it Friday.
“If I’m being honest, there was probably no chance I was going to be ready for Opening Day,” he said. “I was probably weeks away from that. It so happened that I got a couple of extra months. I was able to go back to the University of Tennessee and rehab multiple times a week. It was personally good for me and my shoulder. I was able to be home and spend time with friends and family.”
He entered Spring Training 2.
