Nick Castellanos listened to the question at his introductory press conference Tuesday at the Cincinnati Reds’ Hall of Fame and Museum before he slowly leaned forward to move closer to the microphone that sat in front of him.
Castellanos signed a four-year, $64 million contract with the Reds on Monday, which includes an opt-clause after the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He was the impact bat that the Reds sought all offseason and the type of fiery player that the Reds hope will elevate his teammates.
He was asked what the team’s expectations were for next season after his addition.
