GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Lisalverto Bonilla, claimed by the Reds off of waivers on Monday, has worked as both a starter and a reliever in his career and will continue to straddle that line with the Reds, manager Bryan Price said on Wednesday.
“We see him as a guy who can compete for the big league club. We know that the roles that are open,” Price said. “We’re undefined four and five spots in the rotation. We’re undefined in at least two bullpen spots in my opinion. We see him competing for both – a middle relief, potentially a starting spot.
