Former Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Al Michaels is the subject of an episode of MLB Network's new series, The Sounds of Baseball, set to debut Monday (July 13) at 7 p.m. Eastern.
Michaels came to Cincinnati in 1971 and was replaced in the Reds' broadcast booth in 1974 by Marty Brennaman. Michaels sent a tribute to Brennaman last September as Brennaman concluded his 46-year career as the radio play-by-play voice of the Reds, telling Marty that he was "just happy ... to warm the chair" for him.
