Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Justin Turner left Game 6 of the 2020 World Series because of a positive COVID-19 test, FOX anchor Kevin Burkhardt said just after the Dodgers won their first World Series Championship since 1988.
"After the completion of the game tonight, we were informed by MLB that Justin Turner received a positive COVID test and that's why he was removed from the game," Burkhardt said on the air.
Turner was a seventh-round draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds in 2006.
Turner never played for the Reds at the big-league level, but played for the Rookie League Billings Mustangs in 2006, the High-A Sarasota Reds and Low-A Dayton Dragons in 2007 and the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts as well as Sarasota in 2008.
