Michael Lorenzen solid in final start, Cincinnati Reds end losing streak with shutout win

Michael Lorenzen, making his third start of the season, was solid against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The bullpen was even more effective. Even the Reds’ struggling lineup produced a few timely hits.

Snapping a six-game losing streak heading into Sunday’s season finale, the Reds earned a 3-0 victory in front of an announced crowd of 42,630.
