Matt Davidson hasn’t gotten many chances for the Cincinnati Reds, but he’s made a lot out of the few.
Davidson hit a grand slam in his first at-bat in 10 days to lift the Reds over the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-2, Friday night at Busch Stadium. It was Davidson’s 20th at-bat of the season. He's had three home runs and 10 RBI in those at-bats.
Davidson, 29, made the Reds as a non-roster invitee. His calling card is power. He hit 26 home runs for the Chicago White Sox in 2017 and 20 in 2018.
