Reed felt good after throwing five innings in a no-decision vs. the Cubs in a 1-0 Reds loss Saturday. He struck out a career-high 10 batters and had his slider working effectively. He is still searching for his first big league win as a starter.
Brigham makes his third big league start, and the rookie showed some promise in his second outing. Even though he lost at the Mets, Brigham allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings, throwing 57 strikes in 79 pitches.
