LOS ANGELES – During the fifth inning Wednesday, Reds players started yelling from their dugout about home-plate umpire Nick Mahrley’s strike zone after a low strike to José Iglesias.
Mahrley looked toward the Reds’ dugout and manager David Bell told him to “pay attention to the game.” Mahrley immediately ejected Bell, who ran onto the field and argued with Mahrley.
“I didn’t say one word the entire game about the strike zone,” Bell said.
