If tonight was Tyler Mahle’s last outing as a Cincinnati Red, it’s hard to imagine much better of a performance. After allowing a couple runs on 5 hits in the first 2 innings, Mahle put the hammer down and didn’t allow a base runner the rest of the way. In all, he threw 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits with no walks and 7 strikeouts. That’s a hell of a way to go out if his future holds the same fate as Tyler Naquin and Luis Castillo. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the bullpen as well.
