When the final out was recorded in the top of the seventh inning Sunday, Reds pitcher Luis Castillo pumped his fist and pointed at the sky.
In an up-and-down season for the 25-year-old, Castillo was at his best against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Castillo’s fastball was exploding to the plate. His changeup and slider were close to untouchable. He pitched a season-long seven innings to lead the Reds to a 4-0 victory at Great American Ball Park.
