Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Lucas Sims offered a not-so-subtle dig at his former team via Twitter when he suggested that the Atlanta Braves don't care about developing pitching like the Reds do.
Sims, 26, was a first-round draft pick (21st overall) of the Braves in 2012. He posted a 5.96 ERA and 1.574 WHIP in 20 appearances in parts of two seasons for the Braves and was traded to Cincinnati in July 2018 with Preston Tucker and Matt Wisler for Adam Duvall.
Sims' ERA for the Reds in 24 appearances last season was 4.
