The Cincinnati Reds have decided to shake up their roster after slumping through the first month of the season.
Shortstop prospect José García, a star in spring training in February and March, was called up and will make his MLB debut on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
García, 22, hasn't played an inning above High-A in the minor leagues, but the Reds are hopeful that he can provide a spark to their slumping lineup. The Reds have hit .155 as a team since returning from their four-day stoppage in the season because a player tested positive for COVID-19.
