GOODYEAR, Arizona – Mike Moustakas had a loud introduction before Thursday’s game at Goodyear Ballpark with the crowd of 3,643 collectively yelling, “Moose!”
Facing the Milwaukee Brewers for the first time since he signed with the Cincinnati Reds in December, Moustakas chatted with Brewers manager Craig Counsell a few minutes before the national anthem. A few of his former teammates, including catcher Jacob Nottingham, mimed moose antlers at the top of their caps.
“A lot of great friends over there. A lot of great memories,” Moustakas said. “Just great to go see the boys and hang out with them and kind of catch up.
