The Cincinnati Reds are among several MLB teams interested in Josh Harrison - a former Princeton High School standout who also played baseball for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats - according to a report via Twitter by MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
Heyman added that the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees also have shown interest in Harrison.
Harrison requested and was granted his release by the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, the team announced. Last November, Harrison agreed to a minor-league deal with the Phillies that included an invitation to Spring Training.
