NEW YORK – Jonathan India and Mike Moustakas both reached base in the top of the fourth inning Monday and they both were out of the game by the bottom half of the inning.
India beat out an infield single to third base to open the fourth inning and he walked gingerly with an apparent limp after running through the bag. Manager David Bell and a trainer took about two steps out of the dugout, but India nor first-base coach Delino DeShields waved them onto the field, and they kept watching from the dugout.
Following the infield single, India ran to second base on a dropped pop-up that turned into a fielder’s choice out at second base.
