After Jonathan India was hit by a pitch in the ankle during the bottom of the first inning, he left Wednesday's game to be evaluated for an injury. In an unlucky season for the reigning NL Rookie of the Year, India then received some good news.
India's X-rays were negative, and he's currently listed as "day-to-day."
When India was hit by the pitch, he winced, hopped and then walked slowly down the first baseline. Manager David Bell and a Cincinnati Reds trainer checked on India at first base, but he stayed in the game to run the bases for the rest of the inning.
