Jonathan India has been the Cincinnati Reds' hottest hitter over the last two weeks, but he was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies in the fifth inning Sunday.
India fell straight to the ground, slumping over the plate, after he fouled a pitch from José Ureña off his left leg in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader. He immediately reached to the back of his left calf when he stood up and limped when the umpire handed him his helmet as he took a few steps around home plate.
Manager David Bell and assistant trainer Tomas Vera immediately ran onto the field to check on him.
