Former Cincinnati Reds great Johnny Bench remembered his former Big Red Machine teammate and fellow Hall of Famer Joe Morgan during an appearance Monday on MLB Network's High Heat with Christopher Russo.
During a 2018 meeting with baseball fans in Montgomery, Bench said Morgan was "the best ballplayer I've ever played with or ever seen."
"Nellie Fox was his hero. He wanted to be proven as a little man that he could do all of the same jobs - he could do everything that everybody else could. He was everything," Bench said Monday on High Heat.
