Alex Grammas, a former Cincinnati Reds player and coach who served as third base coach under manager Sparky Anderson of the Big Red Machine during the 1970s, died at age 93, per Hall of Famer Johnny Bench via Twitter in addition to the Reds' radio and television broadcasts of Saturday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Marty Brennaman, in his 46th and final season as the legendary play-by-play voice of the Reds on 700 WLW, said during Saturday's broadcast - as he's indicated previously - that Grammas was as great a third base coach as any he saw.
