Since my first fearless roster prediction for the 26-man roster, the Reds have played 15 games, cut 11 players and added little clarity to who will get the two or three roster spots up for grabs.
As I wrote in my pre-camp prediction, very few spots are open. The Reds added five free agents who will make the team. Add them to returning core, and you don’t have a lot of wriggle room.
Again, that’s a good thing – generally, the more predictable the roster, the better the team. Competition in camp means you have keys spots to fill.
