PHOENIX – After Josh VanMeter hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning Friday, he returned to the dugout and his teammates were already laughing.
VanMeter and his teammates greeted each other with one word: "Boom!"
"I guess I do a really good Jon Gruden impression," VanMeter said. "That’s kind of been the talk of the clubhouse lately."
Joey Votto and VanMeter hit a pair of two-out, two-run homers to lift the Cincinnati Reds to a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in front of a crowd of 35,158.
