MLB Network shared a clip from Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto's interview with Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo for Thursday's episode of "High Heat," and it doesn't disappoint.
In May, Brian Kenny took Russo to task for suggesting that Votto is not among active players headed to Cooperstown despite leading the league in on-base percentage in seven of his 17 Major League Baseball seasons, all with the Reds.
During his "High Heat" appearance, Votto defended himself, in a way only Votto can.
"A couple of months ago, you said that (Kansas City Royals pitcher) Zack Greinke and I are 'Hall of Very Good' ballplayers," Votto said to Russo.
