Joe Morgan's daughter, granddaughter are honorary captains for Opening Day, Sen. Rob Portman to throw first pitch

The Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday announced Hall of Famer Joe Morgan's daughter and granddaughter will be honorary captains for Opening Day. Ohio Sen. Rob Portman will be throwing out the first pitch for Thursday's game.

The club also announced Marlana VanHoose will sing the national anthem and two F-16 Fighting Falcons of the 112th (one-twelfth) Fighter Squadron “Stingers” from the 180th Fighter Wing Ohio Air National Guard Base in Toledo, Ohio, will perform a pregame flyover, according to a press release.

This is the second year in a row Opening Day has been altered or canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
