GOODYEAR, Ariz. – It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Cincinnati Reds center fielder Nick Senzel sees an opportunity to have a breakout season in 2022.
Senzel, a former first-round pick who’s now entering his fourth big league season, reported to spring training “100%” healthy. The Reds are looking for a starting center fielder, and Senzel has the highest potential among the main contenders for that spot. Senzel had really promising stretches in 2019 and 2021, and he’s been a starter for the Reds whenever he has been healthy.
But none of those are the biggest reason that Senzel thinks he’ll have a carer year in 2022.
