It was the news that sent shockwaves around the Major League Baseball world on Monday morning. The Miami Marlins had an outbreak of coronavirus cases in their clubhouse, which caused the postponement of two games.
The Marlins reportedly had 13 members of their team test positive for COVID-19 on Monday. They didn’t leave Philadelphia after Sunday’s game, so their home opener against Baltimore was postponed. The Phillies’ home game against the New York Yankees, who would’ve used the same visiting dugout and clubhouse as the Marlins, was also postponed.
Games will move forward for the rest of the league, but it’s a concern in each clubhouse.
