Instead of warming up for the Cincinnati Reds game on Saturday against the division-leading Milwaukee Brewers, Reds right fielder Nick Castellanos was planning to be in the training room.
Instead of hitting third in the starting lineup, Castellanos is waiting for his swelling to go down in his right wrist.
“That’s a big lesson of it is what it is, my man,” Castellanos said. “You can’t control everything. This is the situation I’m in. The only thing I can do is focus on doing everything I can to feel better, being patient throughout this process.”
On Friday, Castellanos was hit by a pitch square in the wrist.
