Since Cincinnati Reds left fielder Tommy Pham had to touch home plate and score the go-ahead run to end Tuesday’s 1-0 win over the New York Mets, he was one of the last players to reach the postgame celebration near first base.
As Pham ran down the third base line to score, he kept pointing to designated hitter Mike Moustakas, who hit the walk-off sacrifice fly. Then Pham skipped across home plate and pounded his chest. When he made it to the scrum of players around Moustakas, Pham leapt on someone’s back for a spur-of-the-moment piggyback ride.
