WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hunter Greene checked off the last box before beginning a rehab assignment at Nationals Park on Saturday, facing hitters in a 20-pitch live batting practice session.
Greene is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Thursday. The plan, at least for now, is two rehab starts before rejoining the rotation around Sept. 11.
“I felt great out there,” Greene said Saturday. “There are still some things, the slider was popping a little bit, but for the most part, my body felt great. All the guys had really great feedback. Obviously, I’d like to think they’re being honest, so I appreciate that from them.
