Even for a pitcher as talented as Hunter Greene, everyone knows there will be growing pains throughout his rookie season.
Tuesday’s start against the Milwaukee Brewers, Manager David Bell said, represented a big test for the 22-year-old Greene. He was coming off his worst start of the season and facing the same team. It was a chance to prove his resiliency.
Greene delivered with one of his best outings of the season and the Cincinnati Reds nearly erased a four-run deficit in the eighth inning in a 5-4 loss at Great American Ball Park, ending their season-high two-game winning streak.
