How Nick Senzel quietly sparked a win for the Cincinnati Reds

Immediately after Cincinnati Reds center fielder Nick Senzel reached second base, he stood up and motioned that he was safe.

In the second inning on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, second baseman Jonathan India hit a ground ball with Senzel on first base. Senzel sprinted to the bag, but he was called out on the force play.

Senzel actually reached second before the throw, so he pointed to the dugout and signaled for a replay review.

If that hadn't happened, then Reds pitcher José De León wouldn’t have knocked him in with a single later that inning to score their first run of the game.
