Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey says the Kansas City Royals weren't the only team that expressed interest in him. But he understands why the New York Yankees, for instance, didn't.
Bailey signed a minor-league contract with the Royals, the team announced last week, including an invitation to spring training. He will earn the big-league minimum of $550,000 if he makes the roster and reportedly can opt out of his contract on March 25.
