PITTSBURGH – Wednesday’s start was like a lot of Homer Bailey’s starts this year: He wasn’t awful, but he wasn’t good enough to win.
Bailey fell to 1-14 as the Pittsburgh Pirates completed the sweep of the Reds with a 3-2 victory before 9,560 at PNC Park. Bailey went five innings and allowed three runs on six hits. He walked one and struck out four.
