OAKLAND, California – With a sly smile, it almost looked like José Iglesias impressed himself with a dazzling double play in the fourth inning of the Cincinnati Reds’ 5-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday night.
On a groundball up the middle, second baseman Kyle Farmer flipped to Iglesias, who initially caught the ball with his back to first base. Iglesias did a 180-degree spin, tapped the bag with his left foot as he spun and Joey Votto dug his throw out of the dirt.
