Nick Goepper, who won a silver medal in men's Slopestyle as Greater Cincinnati's only PyeongChang Winter Olympics competitor, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Cincinnati Reds on Opening Day (March 29) at Great American Ball Park, the team announced Monday.
It will be Goepper's second time throwing out a ceremonial pitch at GABP. The longtime Lawrenceburg, Indiana, resident threw out the first pitch on Opening Night in 2014 after winning bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The Reds open the 2018 season against the Washington Nationals at 4:10 p.m.
The team said in a release that additional 2018 Reds Opening Day ceremonies will be announced in the coming weeks.
