Joe Nuxhall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game
The Reds have compiled quite a stable of exciting young arms in recent years, and the spring is the best time to see what they might have to offer. The newest addition to that stable is Luis Castillo, a 24-year-old fireballer who was acquired from the Marlins in exchange for Dan Straily a few weeks ago. Castillo made his spring debut on Sunday, and on a day that saw several pitchers get knocked around, he was spectacular. He retired all six batters he faced, striking out two of them, and in general was a steadying force that allowed the Reds to have some semblance of a chance in the later innings.
