GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A major topic of conversation last season centered around whether it was best to keep left-hander Amir Garrett in the bullpen or move him back to the rotation.
A year in the bullpen has convinced Garrett, a converted start, that’s where he belongs — to the point that he wants to pitch as often as possible.
“Whatever the team needs, but I’d rather pitch four out of five days,” Garrett said. “I like to pitch a lot. I can go multiple innings. It doesn’t matter. I’m ready to pitch whenever.”
“I actually like pitching back-to-back days.
