The Home Run Derby wrapped up last night, with Pete Alonso taking home the gold, besting Vlad Guerrero Jr in the final. The real fireworks came in the Joc Pederson vs. Vlad Second round, that went to extra time and then two two-swing swingoffs that saw the two men clobber like 90 home runs.
Pretty neat.
Tonight, all the stars come out for this one at Progressive Field. Justin Verlander gets the starting nod for the American League club while Hyun-Jin Ryu takes the ball for the National League squad.
There will be many pitching changes in this one, which is good for Reds fans, as both Luis Castillo and Sonny Gray are the only two Reds players tabbed for the team.
