SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Giants used four home runs to top a Reds split-squad team 9-7 at Scottsdale Stadium on Saturday.
Giants 1B Michael Morse hit two home runs off Reds starter Scott Feldman, both solo shots. The second homer, in the fourth, cleared the 30-foot batter’s eye in center field, which is 430 feet away from home plate.
“I don't think you can hit a ball any harder than that,” Feldman said. “It almost took my head off and still went over the batter's eye in center. He's been around for a while and he's got a lot of pop.
