After destroying Triple-A pitching for the first month of the season, Josh VanMeter admits it’s taken some time to adjust to his role with the Reds. He entered Sunday’s game against the Washington Nationals with 26 plate appearances in 17 games.
VanMeter, a utility player off the bench, started Sunday at third base in place of Eugenio Suárez, who received a scheduled day off from manager David Bell.
