Former Cincinnati Reds fan favorite Jay Bruce is headed to the Seattle Mariners in a blockbuster trade with the New York Mets that is expected to be finalized soon, according to multiple reports.
On Thursday evening, the Mets signed Dilson Herrera - the player for which Bruce was traded in August of 2016 - to a minor-league contract with an invite to big-league Spring Training. The Reds granted Herrera free agency earlier this month.
