Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Chase Petty was promoted Tuesday from the High-A Dayton Dragons to the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts.
Petty has posted a 1.95 ERA in 60 innings for the Dragons this season, with 61 strikeouts and just 14 walks. He didn't allow a home run.
Petty, who turned 20 earlier this year, was mentioned in trade rumors before the deadline as the Reds considered whether to add a pitcher to their starting rotation.
