The Bats got on the board quickly in this one. Scott Schebler tripled in the first, and drove in Jermaine Curtis in the process. However, Charlotte quickly responded against Time Adleman scoring one in the second and one in the third (only one run was earned). Louisville tied the game in the bottom of the 6th thanks to, you guessed it, a Scott Schebler solo home run. The Bats pushed another run across the plate in the bottom of the 8th when Jermaine Curtis drove in pinch runner Bryson Smith with a double.
"Magic" Wandy Peralta came on to get the save for Louisville, but he was unable to hold the lead.
