“Slippery” Sal Romano took the start and got the job done in short work. Sal pitched two shutout innings on two hits, one walk, while striking out three. Grimm (2 IP, 0 K), Herget, (1 IP, 1 K), and Alaniz (1 IP, 1 K) locked this one down to give the Bats the win. Ryan “Going” Lavarnway really knows how to make an impression. He only doubled dingered on a 3 for 3 night with 4 RBI total and two runs scored. Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 2 for 4 with his 27th home run of the season and two runs scored.
