It was a rough night for Bats starter Josh Smith. After getting the first out of the game he gave up a HBP, single, single, and walk. All of this was followed by a Chris "Chicken" Parmelee grand slam. Smith gave up another run in the second, and the Bats replaced him with Layne Somsen "that I used to know" to start the third. Smith's line looked a little like this: 2 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO. Samson gave up two on a 4th inning homer to Nick Swisher. Stephen "Johnson and" Johnson gave up Parmelee's second homer of the night in the 5th.
