Brandon Finnegan made his debut for the Bats tonight, as the Reds hierarchy begin to try to stretch out the 2014 first round draft pick so that he can battle for a rotation spot in the big leagues as soon as next year. In 3 IP, the newest Reds kinda-prospect gave up 4 hits, 2 earned runs while walking none and striking out 4. Finnegan blew away folks for 3 Ks in the first inning in 13 pitches, but served up a long ball in the second. The stuff is clearly there and the numbers don't really matter at this point.
