Sal Romano turns in his best start of the season for the Blue Wahoos.
The Corky Miller Memorial Honorary Star of the Game
It's been a tough, frustrating season for Sal Romano. He has struggled ever since getting the call to Double-A last season, and his 1-10 record and 4.81 ERA coming into Tuesday certainly wasn't what he expected coming into this season. He took those frustrations out on the Shuckers last night, keeping them at bay to the tune of 3 hits, 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts over 7 shutout innings. While it may be an outlier for what he has shown this season, it's definitely nice to see him pitch as well as he did on Tuesday.
