Elly De La Cruz - 3 for 5, 3B, HR, 2 RBI
It was a pitchers’ duel in game 1 and Louisville came out on the wrong side of it. Riley “Father” O’Brien started and pitched well, throwing 5 shutout innings and allowing 4 its while walking 1 and striking out 6. There obviously wasn’t much offensively, but Michael de Leon went 3 for 3 so that was cool.
Another solid starting pitching performance was spoiled in game 2, this time by the bullpen. “Livin’ in a van down by the” Reiver Sanmartin started and allowed one run over 4 innings, giving up only 3 hits and a walk while striking out 3.
