Eugenio Suárez, the man known simply and affectionately as "Geno" by his Cincinnati Reds teammates, is back.
He showed that again Monday night with a two-hit, four-RBI performance in a 6-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in game one of a three-game series and a nine-game homestand at Great American Ballpark.
The man who missed 16 games after a fastball fractured his right thumb earlier in April hasn't missed a beat since coming off the disabled list last Thursday (8-for-22, 7 RBI), but he couldn't help the Reds hold the lead Monday night.
The Reds had the lead twice but it proved too slippery, so instead of building off the momentum of their first series win of the season in Minnesota, the Reds fell to 7-22 this season.
